Author: Sue Evans

I have been a Phillies fan since 1969, when my mom and dad introduced me to the game of baseball. I have been writing poems and short stories about this team for almost as long. My first favorite players were Tony Taylor and Dick Allen. Then it was Steve Carlton and Mike Schmidt. On through the years the heroes have changed, but my loyalty remains constant. I have two grown children, three chihuahuas, and three cats. I worked at Kmart for 19 years until my store closed this past December. Now I work at a local grocery store part time. My daughter and I have gone to almost every Sunday home game since 2007, and quite a few others in between. We were lucky enough to be at the 2008 World Series Game 5....both days. It was the most amazing time of my life.
