Trea Turner would be the best fit for the Phillies when considering his actual value as a ballplayer and factoring in a likely smooth transition into what is a great current clubhouse chemistry mix. He would appear, at this point, to be the perfect match.

Based on their current roster, the talent levels and questions marks involving the other contenders, and the fact that I believe Dombrowski will work aggressively in-season to further improve that roster at every chance, this 2021 Phillies team could win the NL East.

Both Haseley and Kingery can help elevate the Phillies already potent offense. But the need to play most days at a regular position at which they can feel most comfortable in order for the Phillies to maximize that ability. The time is now.

If the Phillies succeed in bringing back the top catcher in the game, then the ball club can look towards another shot at contending in 2021. If that effort fails, the questions will only become greater as the winter moves along.
